I managed to beat all optional content, although I missed the Zodiac Spear since I was not meticulous.

Zodiac sphere is the strongest and most powerful tool that comes in every game. It comes before daggers and swords. Getting it may be too difficult. You must understand the chests not to open for you to get it. You must never dare open the treasure chest and the elixir chest.

Well, I am just as you, I did all in the game but missed the most important tool in the game, I was so stupid, I don't know how I could miss and I will probably not get it anymore!

Playing games need a lot of patience from us, the players. Since they can result in any course, either win or lose, we have to accept any result. If we fail, we have to always try again and see that we maneuver. Playing any game is just like life. We fail many times but we keep on moving ahead.

I hope a lot of people become more aware of this, patience is the key to succeed anywhere.

Well now you will learn to always pay attention and why not search on the internet for help.

I think there should have been some clues in the game referring to the chests you shouldn't open in order to get the Zodiac Spear. Making the game perfect means you have to do a lot of restarting. It is not impossible to get it.

I agree your idea is very helpful and can be implemented.

Those things always frustrate me, but there is nothing you can do. Even when I actively think about them I tend to forget once the game actually gets going, but maybe that is just me.

Hello, I missed getting the zodiac spear too, and I don't want to restart the game I have around 300 hours of play time on my save file.
Maybe in the future when I feel like having a new ff 12 run I will aim for the spear and be careful not to open the trap chests.

I remember the same thing happening to me on PS2. I noticed that I missed it around 300 hours in the game. Luckily when the zodiac age came out and I replayed this game, I knew about the chests and I finally got it. It was a big satisfaction.

I don't know about everyone else here, but patience is one thing I don't have in abundance, especially when playing games. I can understand how you missed the spear, I probably would have, too. I suppose restarting is an option to get it right next time.

I'm one of those people too, I don't really have a lot of patience and the thought of restarting a very long rpg for just a weapon really pisses me off lol. Luckily I remembered about the spear once the zodiac age came out.

Yes, everyone's to blame. The posters here, the FAQ writers and also me. I don't care for spoilers so I thought I could read the FAQs as I move along in the game. It would have been so easy for people to warn me about the spear when I asked for it in the few threads I made. No one is obligated to do it but it would have nice that you can show off your accomplishment and knowledge.

I am getting disappointed with the FF series if this is their way to make more money is to hide secrets in the officials guides. Gone are the days where you can figure out how to play and beat the game by talking to town folks and finding secrets yourselves. Even with these guides and faqs, it still took me 200 hours to get everything in FFX. Sorry if people buy into the cheap ploy and actually praise them for it.

This is just another case about developers hiding stuff in a game in such an insanely impossible way that no-one without foreknowledge could ever hope to receive or ever understand how they got if they happen to stumble upon it

This is exactly what I'm trying to say.
