What do you think VII remake takes forever?

I mean Resident evil 2 already got a remake and Resident evil 3 remake is now in development. Meanwhile The remake for 7 has been in development hell since the ps3. It is originally going to be a PS3 title and now Ps4 is about to end. This gives me me an assumption this game might be open world just like 15. I hope Square Enix can manage pull this off. I mean they managed to make a highly praised remake for Tomb Raider before they rebooted it. This remake has been in development for almost a decade.

Final Fantasy games are usually longer than a Resident evil sequel, so the development time is going to be longer. Also Square Enix is prioritizing Kingdom hearts at this moment.

You know what? It takes forever because they don't want to fail the remake of their most popular entry in the series. They want to surpass the original.
