What do you think about the current housing situation?

I was reading an article the other day and it said that there are 70k houses and apartments on an FFXIV server and there are around 300k players per server. So that means a whole lot of people are going to be screwed out of getting a house. I think that the FFXIV situation is the worst housing implication of housing in any game and I think that they need to fix it and fix it fast. Because there are a lot of players in an uproar right now. What do you think about the current housing situation?

This has always seemed strange to me and am still getting used to it. I can understand why people would be in an uproar though and things are not panning out evenly.

I also heard that Within an hour of the patch going live all of the plots on mid-high population servers were gone. Some servers reported running out in under ten minutes.

FFXIV Producer and Director Naoki Yoshida has promised that they are working to bolster their servers in preparation for additional wards in the Lavender Beds, the Goblet, Mist, and Shirogane by patch 4.2

I hear a solution is on the way but I hope they put a one house per account restriction.

Not really sure what to expect but I am always a little weary when it is just we will bolster our servers. I know there is more to it than that but it sounds pretty generic to me, but I guess we shall see.

This is new to me as I have no clue about this situation until now, if nothing positive isn't done about this, I'm pretty sure that a lot of people who are real Final Fantasy game fans would seriously be affected. I do hope that something is done the sooner.

I would pin this at poor planning and arrangement with setting up the game server. I'm sure that these developers are already aware of the fans database number and should work with it but having to make such is a big disappointment.

Just saying that they are working to put things in order doesn't just cut it, we need action as it's being said because it's the only way to convince people that steps and efforts are being taken to correct this problem.

You would assume this is negligence but your assumption would be wrong. With the kind of data these people collect using consultant farms, I would file this under PR's ' Manipulation Tools'

There is a possibility of what you are saying to be actually true, so I'm definitely not ruling out. Some people would go to any length to have their program and project been approved.

Hi everyone? Players are now limited to owning one plot of land for personal use and one plot for their Free Company. Four companies of four players or more are also limited to one plot of land, so if one player is in a Free Company that owns a plot, they cant buy another in that Free Company's name. to limit plot flipping, land relinquished by its owner is now unavailable for purchase for a period of time.The downside is that purchase of housing plots is currently restricted to Free Companies.
