It sort of ruins the fun, but maybe there are some things you cannot complete. Anyway, it being the last resort would be the 2nd best option after not using it. Nonetheless, I'm sure Final Fantasy cheat guides are popular. Of course, it seems like the places to find them are YouTube and the IGN forum.

I don't personally use cheats in playing games. Where is the fun in that? Leveling up is one of the best way to experience the game. I have noting against using cheats but I do believe that in order to fully experience the game, you should go the long and hard way.

I do agree that it ruins the fun of playing it but it's part of being a gamer, like whether we like it or not we will still use it no matter what. Even professional players tends to cheat, then what about us normal gamers?. I think it's fine to use it, but more on the curiosity side rather than ruining it.

I dont use cheats when playing games. It does not give me thrills. I rather use patience than using cheat codes.

Cheat codes ruins the funs and thrill of the game, whether it's final fantasy or any other kind of game. It's destroying the system of the game, from the player (ranking system) and the unfairness it brings to every player in the game.

Personally, I don't use cheats in a game because it can ruin my desire to play it. It's like your just clicking or playing with no thrill with cheat codes, you cannot die, you just kill any monsters in your way and you will not feel that you are challenged. It's boring.

I only cheat on games as long as I have already finished it. I used to play FFVi on my old SNES a long time ago, before playing it through an emulator. Inputting game cheats which were not possible on the real Game Genie due to hardware limitations have been lifted by the emulators, which allows as many cheat codes to be entered. Since then I have maxed out my party with all available relics and other items (Paladin's Shield, Ribbon, Economizer, Megalixir, etc.)

One thing is that I don't like to use cheating codes, and another one is that I don't have the need to use them. I have to be honest and say, I've had to check on some codes to level up, specially when I'm a big fan of a game. You can find some on YouTube, but also on forums online.

I've used cheat codes and guides on games but I usually regret doing that. For example, I liked making items from cards in FF8. But I learned how to do that because I read it on some forum. That little bit of knowledge helped me get nice items faster and possibly was the reason why I went through the game quickly(I usually grind an area before moving on). After I realised I wasn't having any one fun, I restarted the game and played it without using the trick with the cards.

This happened with a lot of games I played. The most notable was GTA: San Andreas where I beat the game with cheats. Then tried it without using any cheats at all. It was a million times more fun and I wished I did it that way from the start.

I don't use cheating codes to level up faster in Final Fantasy game. It's not fun and you will not be challenge in playing the game. And sometimes trying cheating codes can harm your device, hacking account that can lose your Final Fantasy game.

I can't stand myself. I'm always tempted to use cheats, but then I regret it, because it kills all the fun and enjoyment in achieving something the hard way. It is much more mentally rewarding when you level up without cheating. You just feel better and stronger.

I have never used cheat guides and I don't intend to do so. Like others have said, it simply kills the fun you get by finding/figuring out stuff on your own.

It would never come to mind, to cheat at video games-because you should just sit back and enjoy the ride and play to your best abilities. I think you can get banned from cheating at some online video games anyway. I just like playing and enjoying the game-and I'm not really into going to extremes to win or being a hacker-because you will never be a good gamer this way.

I agree that cheat guides take away the real fun associated with gaming. The feeling of victory after trying hard for long is eternal and can never be replaced by the victory caused by using cheats. Moreover, all the cheat guides are very tempting and can easily deviate a person from adopting the right path for winning every level. Though they bring wasyand fast winnings but they have no fun associated with them

I personally think that using the cheat guides can be definitely bad. Because it takes out the hardwork. And you are only going to get bored due to the same. And on that note I'd say it's better to do things on your own.

I think new or younger gamers should use cheats more, simply because it's harder for them to progress in the game. As soon as we become more experienced gamers, we just learn to love the difficulty in progressing. :)

My nephew and niece pretty much demand me to enter cheats for any game that they want to play. If no cheats exist, they simply won't play the game :D

I think some people just want to show the game walk through in the YouTube. And for them the cheat sheet and the guides are something they want. And they just want to get over with the game. So on that note I'd say it's not worth it for some of the other scenarios.

lol, I mean, it's just the way it goes. Kids these days like to go the shorter way, and some games are really hard, so if they have a cheat that makes them beat the levels/scores of their friends, they will do it. :)

I have to agree that some games are really hard. And completing the level is not that easy. And people have to be really understanding of the gaming and the strategies. So on that note you can see that FF games are often played with cheats.
