According to the creator of Final Fantasy 5 who still works at Square Enix, The next remake will be decided by the fans. Next to VII, 6 and 8 have the most fanbase. Obviously 10 to 15 are not getting remakes, all they needed are Midquels ,spinoffs and remasters.

Square Enix wanted fans to be vocal on social media on which game needs to have a remake.

I have been reading a lot of things about Final Fantasy lately- and a game that everybody wants to remake,is the Final Fantasy Tactics game. I think this game is about 20 years old- and everybody says that this is the best game ever made and thinks Square would make a fortune on the remake ?

Tactics is a spin off, The only ones that are likely to have a remake are the numbered titles before 10.

I don't think 9 will have sequel because it is quiet unpopular. 6 have a very vocal fanbase from oldschoolers while millennials wants 8.

I am guessing slowly square enix will make the remake of most of the 2D based games. Though they have awful 3D team as far as the face and the expression goes. But they do make good 3D games in terms of the game play. I am guessing FF 4 or maybe 3 could be in their timeline for remake.

Four already had a remake and it's remake had a sequel. The art style reminds me of Final Fantasy 9, the characters are midgets on gameplay but normal sized in cutscenes and intro. It is for the 3ds.

I think Final Fantasy 1 might not get a remake because 9 is technically a reboot of it.

It's a good decision by Square Enix to leave the fans to be the one that decides the next remake after FF 7. This will make the next remake be exactly what the majority of fans desires and it's certainly going to satisfy everyone. I'm not even decided on the one I would want the new remake to be on. How funny right?

I am wondering if FF14 gets any form of sequel in near times. It'd be interesting not that it needs to have sequel for the sake of it. But remakes usually should have different stories. Just 3D reboot of old gets bored often.

I think it's going to take a while before FF 14 gets a remake, from the information I'm hearing, FF 6 is been tutored to get a remake more than any other Final Fantasy games. I think that it would be nice if 6 gets a remake.

Can we please have a Chrono Cross remake? I love this game even if it is outside the Final Fantasy franchise. I feel like it deserves to have an HD remake because it really is a great RPG by Square.

Although I don't think many people know this game and almost nobody will vote for its remake. :(

Yes you're right anything above 10 would get lot of time before remake or even sequels. I just thought that it'd be a good idea if the FF14 comes with the remake. I'd say SE definitely has a lot of things they can reboot and release.

Why would they remake 14? Its a modern game that is still having a huge online player base and it is still getting dlc.

Yup. FF XIV is still getting updated with DLCs. It is fairly new and I think FF games that are released on PlayStation 2 and below should be the only ones open for voting.

Giving the fans the opportunity to decide the next remake after FF 7 by Square Enix if it's really true, shows how much the company values its fans input and it's only going to gain them more loyalty from those fans because when given what we asked for, we are more likely to be faithful to FF gaming franchise.

I think making sequel to 14 sounds fair, not exactly remake. Kind of like connecting backstory and making new tangent ones such as that. I guess it depends on the type of demand SE got so far on the game that decides sequel or prequels.

Yes of course, making a remake really improves the quality of the game and of course the graphics itself. And thanks to it for providing us a good gaming experience.

I strongly doubt it would be a great idea to make any remake for Final Fantasy 14 now, it won't be a good deal because FF 14 is still good and up to date with great graphics. But it's true what you mentioned about remakes improving the games quality and graphics which is why they are looking forward to getting a remake on FF 7.

Remasters are done for graphics. But FF14 wasn't that bad. It does deserve sequel or the reboots. I am sure many people have tried to get the reboots on the line. And if there are enough fans, then sequels won't hurt.

You are completely right with that assertion. FF 14 still is a good FF game with an incredible graphics. There is no way Square Enix would waste resources making a remake for it now.

Yes most likely there is going to be sequel if there is ever going to be. Because I don't see any other way around for the game. Maybe they can keep it as it is.

I think so as well, the game is likely to remain that way or if it's going to get remake, it would be in 20 years time from now. You can imagine how old we would be at that time and I seriously doubt if we will be playing by then.
