In South Korea and other places, video game rooms are popular. In those places, at least in South Korea, you can not only game - but also eat, drink, smoke cigarettes (non-smoking is usually an option) browse the net, be merry.

Anyway, despite the fun nature of the places, many might prefer private gaming. What might they?

One of the shopping malls we have over actually started public gaming services and it seems people are intrigued by the prospect of it because the first day I ever went there, lots of people were lined up and ready to play. The funny aspect of the whole thing was that parents even brought their kids to have such gaming experience. It looks good quite alright but I do prefer private gaming to that public one.

Public gaming seems to be a thing of fun because you would have to get so many input of opinions from other gamers around, although I'm more disposed to playing games privately but maybe one day I would check out the possibility of in a public section.

Some of the games like FF are worth playing in private. And if you are into doom, COD and other co op games. Then it's better be played with the other people. And that should get you worked up with the folks for the game.

I agree with you completely on that comment. Playing Final Fantasy games is best enjoyed when you go at it alone in private, I'm not saying that playing it in public is entirely bad but to have a better gaming experience with the FF game, it's best when played in private.

Parents have it in them to always look for ways to make their kids happy and if it's taking them to public gaming centers in shopping malls, they are certainly going to do it over and over again. I'm not surprised when I read what you said here because it's also a very common thing where I live as well.

How I wished my own parents took me on a gaming spree when I was little but it wasn't a thing back in days as it is now. So it's good improvement and of advantages to kids of this recent generation to enjoy things we couldn't enjoy in our own childhood days.

Haha, you can stop wishing to have your childhood days come back to be what our children of nowadays enjoy but take your own kids and make sure that they have a good time with themselves. It's what's obtainable in their time and there is no taking it away from them.

Public gaming is nice since it puts people together. People get to know each other through public gaming.

Yes there are some games which are better with public. Like say CS Go. and some of the other games like the one that has the private and the public theme. So the experience of playing them always vary for sure.

Yeah, this is one of the reasons why most people actually engage in public gaming. It brings together a lot of people from different parts to share their gaming life and experience with one another. There is so much more fun in playing in such manner, one would discover other skills and strategies to a particular game one wasn't aware of before.

That's actually true. Such games needs some kind of team effort and rubbing of ideas as well as playing strategies in order to get the players get a good paying time. The outdoor atmosphere is always a good mood lifter to those that get engaged in playing games in public places.

I agree with you on the need for people to play games in public, but there is this need for us to realize the dangers with public gaming especially when you are unlucky to be in the midst of those that will want to cause trouble and thus, making the police get invloved. So, in as much as I see the fun that is involved in public gaming, the dangers of it will make me prefer private gaming any day.

Getting to share gaming experience with an unknown individual with a whole different set of gaming skills is intriguing and I definitely believe it's worth trying over and over again playing outdoors in a public setting. Some people can amaze you with the way they are specialized with playing a particular game and getting to learn in such situation is really worth it.

I do understand what you are trying to say but the fact remains that there would definitely be dangers in all kind of setting one finds himself or herself. The only way I wouldn't approve public gaming is if there is cases of violence around like kidnapping or bomb attacks. In such situation, it's not encouraged to gather in a public place and game because the risk is too much.

Well, I would say that this is just your opinion and I wish to have mine respected. I've been in a case where I was remanded in prison for five days all because I was at a gaming centre when one person badly injured the other. So, when I say that private gaming is better, I have my reasons for saying so.

I think you misunderstood the concept of public gaming that is being discussed. It's not like a hood gang gaming but something more legit and within the confines of the law. Lots of shopping malls now have game centers that shoppers as well as parents bring their kids to come and play several games. There no such thing as violence in such cases.

This is exactly the reason why I enjoy playing with a lot of people who are skilled in a particular game. Tapping from their experience is like a gold mine of knowledge that definitely helps anyone willing to learn new skills to get the knowledge.

This is something very peculiar in Northern parts of my state. It's a region weakened by lots of violent acts like bombing and kidnapping, so gathering in public places isn't some encouraging to do because that makes one a target.

I'm so sorry to hear about your ordeal with getting arrested in a gaming house and being remanded in cell for 5 days is actually a horrible experience. But why did it take so long to get you released from the police station? Normally, the police were supposed to hold you for a period of 24 hours with the option of releasing you or charging you to court.
