Final Fantasy has had its own mobile game, Brave Exvius, for some time now -- but Square's lesser-known Star Ocean series just got its first one last month. To welcome the newcomers to the freemium scene, and to cross-promote both games, some of the more well-known Star Ocean characters will be appearing in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius for a limited time.
From now until August 9, you can summon Rena, Fayt, Fidel, Roddick and Reimi in battle, and take part in a raid mission that has Revorse from the original STAR OCEAN as a boss. Square's press release has more details.
LOS ANGELES (July 27, 2018) -- FINAL FANTASY® BRAVE EXVIUS®, the hit mobile RPG from SQUARE ENIX®, continues to deliver new content and exciting events to all players. Starting today through August 9, 2018, players can experience the action-packed sci-fi world of the new free-to-play mobile game STAR OCEAN®: ANAMNESIS™ through this limited-time collaboration event.
Fayt, Rena, Fidel, Roddick, and Reimi
Beloved STAR OCEAN characters Fayt and Rena, which first appeared in the Japanese version of FINAL FANTASY BRAVE EXVIUS, have now been enhanced and upgraded for the global audience, and are available through a featured summon. Fidel and Roddick are also available through a featured summon, while a fifth character, Reimi, is available through a raid summon. A new raid event is available during the collaboration period where players will battle against Jie Revorse from the original STAR OCEAN game to obtain raid points to unlock various rewards.
