News: Kingdom Hearts 3 And Kingdom Hearts Union x Will Share A Minigame

If you want to play a portion of Kingdom Hearts 3 early, you'll get the chance soon in the KH mobile game Union x....sort of. During a celebration event for the second anniversary of Union x, Square revealed KH 3 will have special minigames fashioned after the Game and Watch devices of the 80s. The games star Mickey and Sora rendered in the classic 30s style, and are each based on an actual Mickey Mouse short.

Square also revealed that top players in KH Union x could see their usernames added into Kingdom Hearts 3. You must rank within the Top 100 for either Total Logins, High Score Challenge or Toon Moogle Medals. Not easy, but if you can do it, you'll be able to fill out an entry form and get your username in KH3 somewhere.

LOS ANGELES (Apr. 16, 2018) – This past weekend, over a thousand keyblade wielders gathered to attend the Dandelion Meeting, the first official North American community gathering for KINGDOM HEARTS Union x[Cross]. Attendees celebrated the anniversary with various activities including new playable content and panel discussions with the development team.

During the panel, Franchise Director Tetsuya Nomura and KINGDOM HEARTS Union x[Cross] Producer Hironori Okayama shared their insights into the inner-workings of the beloved series. Additionally, in a special video message, KINGDOM HEARTS III Co-Director Tai Yasue revealed that the new mini-games inspired by classic Disney cartoons and 1980’s LCD games that fans were able to play at the event will also be available to play in both KINGDOM HEARTS Union x[Cross] and KINGDOM HEARTS III.

Nomura also announced that fans will have a unique chance to become part of history in KINGDOM HEARTS III. Up to 300 players will be selected to have their KINGDOM HEARTS Union x[Cross] player names appear in a secret location within KINGDOM HEARTS III.

Other exciting announcements for the mobile game include:

• New Player vs. Player (PvP) Mode – During the Dandelion Meeting event, players were treated to a special preview of the new asynchronous PvP mode which will launch later this year. The new PvP mode will be the first time players can battle against one another in KINGDOM HEARTS, and will require players to strategically use their best medals in turn-based combat to be victorious. The player who wins the most turns will win the battle, and be entered into a monthly PvP Leaderboard for the chance to accumulate rewards and recognition.
• 2-year Anniversary Celebration Gifts – To commemorate the game’s second anniversary, 3,000 jewels were gifted to all players on April 7, 2018. Players were also gifted two Fantasia Mickey B medals today, which can be claimed any time within the next month.

KINGDOM HEARTS Union x[Cross] is available now as a free-to-play app (with in-app purchases) through the App Store® for iPhone® and on Google Play™ for Android® devices.

To be honest with you, I'm not against anyone playing this game but personally I'm sure if I can get myself to play it because it's way too unappealing to me. Just looking at it, I have lost interest already . But hey, I'm not stopping anyone from playing it, so have fun mates .

Wow, I can still remember playing this game back in days when we were still new to gaming. I certainly had lots of fun with the game and I'm sure that some people are still starting out with the game but I really doubt if I can still be able to play such again.

It's true what you just mentioned, most kids born in the 80's and 90's sure definitely played this game with all passion. A food friend of mine played it and he still appreciated the experience he had with the game but no not me, I always ran from it .

It's quite interesting to see such games again, it's been a very long while since I had seen such. This brought back a lot of memories of my childhood age.

It's actually a major upgrade back in the days and everyone was so excited about it and all eager to play without holding back. What we have now shows how far we have come and still progressing.

Pretty much! Even with such premature graphics, even back then the most important was gameplay, if the gameplay was engaging we were just there stuck for hours enjoying ourselves pressing those buttons.

I'm referring to what we have back then with games and what we have now looking at Final Fantasy as a case study, it's obvious games have been on the progressive note so far.

Yeah, no question there, it's like we have moved from stone age to a technological age. The only downside I see here is that pc requirements are much higher too to support all those heavy graphs.
