Final Fantasy XV: Pocket Edition isn't a mobile exclusive anymore. Square is planning to make the game playable on consoles....and they're starting immediately with the surprise release of Pocket Edition on Playstation 4 and XBox One.
If you're thinking about getting the game, consider this: it will be 40 percent off on both marketplaces in its first week. That means its intended $29.99 price is now $19.99 -- a pretty good deal for the amount of content FFXV has in it. Also, if you'd like this game on Switch instead, just wait...Square has promised a Switch version is "coming soon."

LOS ANGELES ( Sept. 7, 2018) – FINAL FANTASY® XV POCKET EDITION HD, the re-imagined FINAL FANTASY XV experience featuring an adorable art style and casual controls, is now available for the Xbox One and PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and will be available soon for Nintendo Switch.
Originally released on iOS, Android and Windows 10 devices, this retelling of the critically-acclaimed FINAL FANTASY XV, which has surpassed 8.1 million shipments and digital sales worldwide to date, is now tailored for consoles. To commemorate the release, those who purchase any of the Xbox One or PlayStation®4 versions from today through September 13th will also receive a discount of up to 40%, with the same limited-time offer available for the Nintendo Switch™ version at launch.
