News: Dragon Quest XI Preorder Exclusives Available Through Gamestop And Amazon

Square Enix has announced what it'll be offering to entice consumers into preordering Dragon Quest XI! Both Gamestop and Amazon are getting customized preorder packages. In Gamestop's case this also includes something physical (eight collectible buttons with DQXI characters on them).

While it's true Gamestop and Amazon are getting different DLC bonuses, save your rage for a bigger injustice. Both DLC packs include three Seeds of Skill and one waistcoat; the Gamestop coat grants greater experience points and the Amazon coat grants extra money. You can't have both coats, but there's no reason to need both anyway.

LOS ANGELES (April 30, 2018) – SQUARE ENIX® announced exclusive incentives for those who pre-order DRAGON QUEST® XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age™ for the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system. Through select retailers, players can receive various physical and digital items, including EXP boost and Gold boost gear, to enhance their enjoyment of the game.

Pre-order incentives at GameStop in the United States, or EB Games in Canada, include eight exclusive collectible two-inch buttons featuring the main cast and the mysterious spirits of lost time, as well as an exclusive in-game DLC pack which contains:

• The “Elevating Vest” - A snazzy waistcoat that awards the wearer with extra experience every time they win a battle; and
• Three “Seeds of Skill” - A nifty nut that confers an extra skill point upon anyone who eats it (consumed upon use).

Players that pre-order the game from Amazon will receive an exclusive in-game DLC pack including:

• “Arriviste’s Vest” - A glitzy gold waistcoat that awards the wearer with extra money every time a battle is won; and
• Three “Seeds of Skill” - A nifty nut that confers an extra skill point upon anyone who eats it (consumed upon use).

DRAGON QUEST XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age is releasing for the PlayStation®4 system and STEAM® on September 4, 2018. This title is not yet rated. Please visit the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB) website for more information about ratings.

It seems like the dragon quest getting some the of the media attention it deserves. I hope that they make decent sales to continue the series. I have yet to read about IGN's rating and reviews on this. I am sure it'd be a good hit among them too.

Well, OMG, Dragonquest is getting hype because the characters are designed by Akira Toriyama, He is the savage genius who created Dragon Ball Z. I think the ending of Dragonball Super helped out sales of Dragon Quest because of Toriyama's art style.

It is nice that Square Enix have other JRPGs.

I don't think it will be available for steam in the preorder; I was looking for the information, but couldn't find it, but I am assuming it's not.
