News: Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia Celebrates Two Million Downloads

In honor of crossing the two million download mark, Square has updated their mobile game Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia with new characters, quests and content.

As you can see from the screenshot above Lightning, the heroine of Final Fantasy XIII, has been added as a playable character -- bringing the total to 47. The game now contains an eighth chapter, which introduces characters from Final Fantasy VI and XIV to the story. For a little incentive, anyone who logs in over the next two weeks will automatically be given 2,000 gems and will receive double rewards for completing quests.

DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY OPERA OMNIA - Lightning

LOS ANGELES (May 31, 2018) – Over two million players have joined the mobile adventure in DISSIDIA ® FINAL FANTASY® OPERA OMNIA™ to take on solo and co-op quests with dozens of their favorite FINAL FANTASY heroes and villains. The current roster of 47 FINAL FANTASY characters includes fan favorites like Cloud, Squall, Tifa, Yuna and Y’shtola. To commemorate this milestone, players can access a variety of new content and rewards in the latest update, including Lightning, the popular heroine from the FINAL FANTASY XIII series.

The update also includes the eighth and newest chapter, introducing Papalymo Totolymo (FINAL FANTASY XIV) and Cyan Garamonde (FINAL FANTASY VI) to the ongoing story. From now until June 15, 2018, all players who log in to the game will receive a one-time reward of 2,000 in-game currency, Gems. Doubled Cycle Quest Rewards will also be available during this limited time, where players receive double the normal rewards when clearing daily cycle quests.

DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY OPERA OMNIA is available now in the App Store® for iPhone® and iPad®, and on Google Play™ for Android® devices.

Not as big as Clash of Clans but it is still considered a hit. Papalymo Totolymo was never playable so it is interesting that players can finally play him.

Well you are always going to be able to compare it to something bigger or better. I would still say quite the accomplishment and I can image things go up from here and should be interesting to see where it goes.

Wow, over 2 million downloads is a lot of numbers in my book, and I must confess that Square Enix is doing an amazing job with the upgrades they are putting in the game. It's the only reason why millions of people are getting to download the game on daily basis.

2 milliion download are high number in the gaming community. This goes to show that there is a still demand for the FF Games. And SE is creating games exactly the way people want them to be. So it looks like good news for the SE and FF Fans.

The truth is that when a gaming company do a great job with its game release, they are definitely going to get millions of downloads and it's just what Square Enix has with the Final Fantasy games. They are still going to get to 3 million downloads and more.
