I just wonder if this should be always the standard in making a reply either in a post or thread. Can any one shares your idea regarding on this matter? I would really appreciate it and would be glad to know more about your opinion.

For postloops? I think yes, to get higher ratings, but sometimes it's really hard to do that, that's why I'm not able to join to other forums because of my rating.

I think you can find this information on forum rules. It is always advisable to post in short paragraphs or five sentences. But it all depends with what admin will say.

You can also see how other members are posting and follow the trend.

First things first, what are you posting for? And what are you writing and replying for? If you are doing just to have fun then you can reply and post as any length you want. But if you use it to earn points so you could make money on it then you have to post for long, I asked you those questions because it is of no point posting or replying comments for long if you are not earning money from, or using it to catch fun.

When you are in a blog/forum/website your lengthy word post and comment is necessary, it earns you more points aside from that it proves that you are a good writer, you have to be cautious of word count when posting as it is of importance to you. There are blow/forums/websites who don't need lengthy replies and post just ho straight to the point, it depends on the platform also you know that you are being awarded points so your word counts should be much not brief, like I said it depends on the platform and you posting those lengthy replies or post increases your ratings because the Adkins who gave you this sites to post and reply on expects you to be exceptionally good with it that's why postloop gives you that trial first before letting you into these kinds of sites.

Thanks for the information guys, I would really appreciate your advises. I think sometimes it will depends on a type of forums and the type of threads for us to make such longer or short post in my own observation. I just noticed that in this forum it doesn't really matter if you will post long or short reply as long as the message or idea is there, I think it would be good enough. Unlike in other forums that there are some minimum or set of standards that are being followed to make such replies approved.

If you're on Postloop then probably there are rules which you can check on whether they need a short or long sentence prior to the website. But if you're that kind of person that loves to write or comment and gives some ideas as well, then you don't need to ask permission to whether make it long or not as long as you helped the person. :D

I hope not. I really think that genuine replies does not require too much words to be involved. The thing is, I do believe answering relevantly is better than going on and on with words that slowly drifts away from the topic.

In my opinion, quantity or number of words/sentences you posted/commented in every article are not the basis in order to get higher points. As much as possible, admin should stick that the point basis is depending with the quality of comment/s in response to the said article to add some flavor. With that, it shows the commentator is really interested to the topic and not just to earn points.

I think you need a quality post rather than a long post because the forum needs a source of information about a users opinion or a fact that a person knows. But there are sites that requires a specific length of your comment/post/reply to qualify the needs of the forum.

I am strongly agreed, that the important of posting or replying for a thread or someone's post is you need to share a valuable information that you can come out with. Because even though you post a very long comment if it's not a good or what we called so very informative on the said thread it will count nothing. It will become only a normal post with a normal reply. For me short but powerful ,unique and also contained a valuable information will definitely get my attention.

If you check out the forums rules even before subscription, you would discover the basics content size required by the site owner. Some would tell you no posting of one liner or thanks or nice comment. I think I have seen one that requires not less than 300 words as a reply. So therefore simply check the forum rules before doing anything on the site to avoid getting off on the wrong foot with the Administrator.

For postloop?Yes it is of course! If you want to make your ratings higher then you should do your best making comments. I am doing it because I still cant make postings on other forums. So make hard work, it will be just on start but eventually you will get used to it after your ratings get high. Anyway, it is also fun sharing your thoughts and knowledge right? It is not boring at all.

First, a comment or reply must be very informative and relevant as well as related to the subject matter. Then, it's important to make it at least 2 to 3 paragraphs, because it looks more better that way.

I have seen some replies in a forum that contains just two words like ; nice post. That's absolutely rubbish from where I stand. I solicit for immediate ban of such people from any forum because they definitely don't have anything useful to offer in the community.

I guess not necessarily. As long as you are clear and on point, you're going to be okay.

Sometimes, or maybe most of the time, you get bored reading long posts that have no substance.

Just my two cents worth.

Merry Christmas everyone.

It depends with what you are writing about. If it is a reply that needs a 'yes' or 'no' without further explanations, why should you punish your fingers by typing too long posts?

I think length is not that important. As they say, it's the thought that counts. Sometimes, long replies tend to become off topic and some words or phrases are added just for length's sake. I think a short reply will always be okay as long as it is related with the topic, helpful and clear. Be sure to watch your grammar also.

You are very correct with the comment. Postloop requires good content reply and well paragraphed and punctuated in order for you to get good rating at least from 4.8 upwards.

If you value your work on site, you will work hard to write at least 2-3 paragraphs minimum, and it will be well related to subject matter. Some people are found of writing off topic just to have longer post.

Short reply shouldn't be a one line reply, it's better to be specific about this because some people are with the habit of writing just one line reply all in the name of short reply. Such won't stand a chance in getting you a good rating on any site or forum.

You are right on the grammar thing, it's important to have a good grammar because it matters a lot.

It's best to seek the opinion of the site owner sometimes, or better still read the instructions on the forum before posting in order to be sure of what you are doing and not fall victim of either getting low rating or banned from the forum.

Haha, punishing you hands for too long posts? Dude seriously you are a joker, I just burst my ribs laughing out loud here. Well, all I can say is that too long replies tend to go off point. It's important to keep it average with replies to be on point.
