I am considering getting the mobile version, so gonna ask you adults whether Final Fantasy VII is worth playing. Well, I heard this is one of the masterpiece FFs.

I didn't play FF7 when it was initially released. I ended up playing it right after Ocarina of Time, which is one of my all-time favorites. It was a drop in graphics after Zelda, so I found it difficult to be quite as visually engaged as I assume I was supposed to be. It's kind of silly. I mean, it's difficult to take these super deformed characters seriously and the dialogue is exaggerated. The battle system isn't exactly revolutionary. It overcomes those faults with a likable characters and a compelling underlying story that's actually quite tragic in nature. That's what hooked me.

A corporation has grown so large, it's essentially become the world's government. The rampant abuse of the resources of the world and its leaders' greed, lack of ethics, compassion for their employees and disregard for the world's citizens have caused cracks to form in its edifice and you watch as it brings forth its own destruction.

Your hero is so traumatized by some event from his past that he's blocked out and rewritten memories. Your supporting characters are imperfect, but genuine in their affection and respect for the hero and their desire to win restore a balance to their world. The most likable supporting character meets her tragic end halfway through the game. You might even find yourself feeling a certain level of compassion for the main villain as he's broken by the discovery of details surrounding his birth and he walks a path he no longer sees any choice but to follow.

It's not a perfect game, but it's definitely worthwhile.

Well, I definitely got spoiled a bit about FFVII since I played Crisis Core and watched Advent Children... so... lol. Maybe I am just playing it for gameplay's sake?

Crisis core was awesome, as you can see my nickname and avatar are from that game. Anyway, for the people who want to play FF7, why not wait for the remake? I believe it's going to come out during 2018 and you can enjoy the game in its full glory without having to deal with dated graphics or mechanics.

Crisis Core was pretty awesome. Too bad it was PSP cartridge only.

I have played this game just for one time. This game sometimes looks very boring and time wasting than any other final fantasy games. The Crisis core in this game were very interesting and they make the game more effective.

Well, I guess I can wait for the actual remake of FFVII. On what platform would that be for though?

No, I would actually advice you to wait for the new version that is probably going to come out next year 2018, as a result of having to deal with old poor boring graphics associated with this particular game.

The remake of Final Fantasy 7 will have a lot better graphics so it will be interesting, I'm sure to the original people who used to play this game and newcomers alike that have heard of this game. The original game really put the Final Fantasy brand on the map though, and also it sounds like the new game has a lot of new features on it, that will really be fun and improve the experience of this Final Fantasy 7 game.

I will go with the majority since everyone is saying we wait for the latest version. :D So it means when the new version is out. FF7 will be worth playing.

Thanks for recommending this. I will definitely wait for the remake and play the game next year. 2018 is just around the corner.

Yeah, it's definitely better to wait for the new release, because in my view it's absolutely going to worth the wait and give us all the very satisfaction that we all crave in the game.

I think it's worth your time to try playing Final Fantasy 7. There is still a story line that you can benefit from playing it. There are some not so good quality videos but on that time I enjoyed those clips like the one that they fired their BIG CANNON. You probably saw that cannon on playing Crisis Core and if you played the Ps1 game you will know when and to whom they used it for.

Yes, this game is worth playing, the eco-terrorist group avalanche in an attempt to destroy the Mako reactors, the action involving Cloud and his past makes you wish to play more. There are many new elements that will make you feel that you play something new.

I agree with you to wait for the remake because today I think you will not enjoy too much the graphics of those years that game was made. Plus the battle style which is a turn based battle is a bit boring to me and doesn't require to much style and skills.

I loved playing Crisis Core. If you want to wait for the new version, then it is absolutely fine. But, keep in mind that it is not mandatory that the new version will be better. There are many new versions which have been criticized badly only because they failed to meet the expectations of the users. The choice is all yours.

I think if you are expecting any graphically rich experience, then no. You may not find it worth playing. But if you are into for pure gaming experience, then yes, it can be good. And there are some really good options of the game. That's something you are going to love for sure. I have enjoyed the game as much as possible.

@amitkokiladitya Nobody is actually against your playing Crisis Core or your love for it. Just like you pointed out everything depends on one's choice and preference. I believe people are merely giving their opinion on which version they believe to stick with. You are definitely free to play your Crisis Core anytime and any day that you feel like, no one is stopping you. ;)

I played FF 7 up to half way and was distracted by power blackout. Up to where I had reached, I saw the game was very captivating. I will find time between tomorrow and Sunday to complete playing it and I will come back here to give my reviews.

I never said that someone is stopping me from playing Crisis Core. Just like you, I have the very right to express my views and that was what I did.

All I stated was that it is not a surety that update always overrules the main version. The rest is the choice of the gamer. In this text I don't find anything that you should take personally.

This is a forum open for all. We all have an equal right to pen down our views. More importantly, we should respect the thoughts of others rather than point fingers on them.
