If I buy a Ps5 copy of Final Fantasy VII remake episode 2 , Will it be compatible to my ps4 save?

I have a PS4 copy of Final Fantasy VII remake and I don't think I want to buy a Ps5 copy of the episode 1 because its already compatible with Ps5. I want to know if Episode 2 will be connected to our Episode 1 saves? Are each episodes stand alone? I do not want to lose all the progress I have on episode one because I played hundreds of hours of it.

Also are the other episodes going to be available on Ps4? I just hope the ps4 version won't have the mess Cyberpunk 2077 turned into.

My heart has a nagging feeling that each episodes will be stand alone. So every action you have on Episode one will not affect episode 2. It will be programming and coding hell to make your actions from previous episode affects the flow of the game and story.

I am still on the fence about buying PS5. it's so costly. How did you afford it. Whoa. I am sure it has so many upgrades compared to PS4. I have been using my friend's PS4, but he left the city. You can spend so many hours cross playing or are you playing by yourself? I am sure the gameplay is great. How about you get fast expandable storage that's also affordable? I am sure you can get something that doesn't require much power.

I have a feeling that our progress from episode 1 will not carry over to Episode 2 because the episodes will be stand alone. Making it stand alone can encourage people who didn't play Episode 1 to buy.
