I like Ardyn over the main characters!

This is how I felt about Final Fantasy XV. I can relate with Ardyn as he use to be a good guy with great intentions but he was betrayed by the people he protected and trust. Meanwhile the main heroes of this game looks like a bunch of generic pretty boys. Ardyn is is more badass and cool looking the main heroes. His character is more fleshed out as he have a deep backstory while the heroes are a bunch of anime cliche tropes.

Have you played the Ardyn DLC yet? That shows why he got corrupted into the villain that he is. He use to be a hero but we if you played the dlc you will see how he got corrupted. I am sure you will like him more if you get to play his side story. His side story made me frustrated that the dlcs got cancelled because of the backstories we could have unfolded.

Bahamut is the true villain of this game! Ardyn is just a victim of circumstance. He is betrayed by his own family, His own flesh and blood! He is neglected by the Kingdom he served! Ardyn and Noctis are both victims of the Gods but Ardyn got consumed by revenge. We cannot blame him though. He is one of the most complex and well written villain since Kefka but he is not fully evil. He will be a hero in another story if you know what I mean.

I don't like sympathetic villains. The purpose of villains is to be hated so the heroes will be more loved, and Ultimecia does that role best for me. She doesn't have any tragic backstory. She is just evil, power-hungry and glamourous. Sorry for my bias since Final Fantasy 8 is my first game, but I played most of the series after it, and Ultimecia is the best villain for me because she leaves an impact without the need of outshining the heroes.

I don't sympathize at him at all. You cannot fix a wrong with another wrong. Vengeance is not the answer. His desire for vengeance made him evil and cause a lot of lives. I don't care how tragic the background of a villain is but he is still evil. Being betrayed is not an excuse to be evil. That is my take for this

His popularity is the reason why he is given a DLC. Even for a villain, he is that likable.

He is a victim of the situation, making him one of the most tragic villains in the story. He is not like the others who are evil for trivial reasons. He is such a complex character, and his DLC makes me wish we have more DLC of this game.

He is one of the few villains who achieved his goals because he won in the end. He accomplished his noble goal of ending the Starscourge and his corrupted goal of ending the royal bloodline. His Heroic past and villainous present both fulfilled their missions.

The way Ardyn behaves in the story is almost like he has not done anything wrong, even if he is the villain.

Most people say the Gods of Eos are the story's true villains. I may have to agree. They are right. Noctis and Ardyn are brethren. They are from the same line.

When it comes to Noctis's sacrifice at the end, and why he did it... There is nothing that we have to make us hate Ardyn. The Gods of Eos are questionable at best.

Ardyn is not that dishonorable because He had some good in him. Do not blame Ardyn for his actions because he is a victim. Blame those meddling Gods.

He looks cooler than the 5 main protagonists who looks like a manufactured KPOP band. I mean he looks like an actual man instead of a pretty boy out of Yuri on Ice.

There is an Ardin all inside us. Once in our lives we felt betrayed by someone we trust and believe in.

The tragic Backstory drives me to him. Once in my life I was naive and full of hopes and dreams until reality kicks in and the truth leaves a bitter taste in my mouth.
