Final Fantasy II is the worst part I have ever had the chance to play because the battle system is broken and the level system it got me crazy, I believe that the only thing I liked in this game was the music.
What do you think about this?

I am very fond of playing games with effective music. It is the music which attracts more users towards the game.We can spend more time on game by listening music in it.

Maybe this is true, but we cannot play a game only for its music, and if the battle system or other parts are broken the game is really hard to play, it drives us nuts and is keeping us from advancing!
Thank you for your reply!

FFII did have a few glitches here and there but I believe the developers were still trying to piece it together. I did enjoy it though. I don't understand why it disappointed you that much buddy. Having played the higher versions of Final Fantasy, I can see why this one was a bust for you but to be honest I liked the gameplay a lot on PS 2. I think you should give it another chance, you may end up changing your mind. Haha! I know you won't though, it seems ancient now.

I really thank the rapid technological revolutions happening day after day, to see that final fantasy II can be comfortably played on smart phones. I really like it when the youths attack the emperor with their weapons and magic. And the music part of it is also captivating.

I liked FF2 more than FF3, which I just found boring. So, at least it’s not that.

It is too late now, I have the higher version that works just fine, without any problem, I don't want to go back now.

Playing FF2 is like following an ancient story line. The biggest drawback of FF2 is that it lacked the level system Gradually leveling up the skills keeps us engrossed in the game and FF2 lacked this element of gameplay. I will not say that I regretted playing it, but yes, it missed the so called additional fun element.

The best part of FF series is that the games are not interlinked. So if any part of the series does not appeal to us, we can easily skip over to the next.

Yes, I agree with your point. Even I did not enjoy playing the second version initially. It took me a couple of sittings so as to develop a rhythm. There were times when I had serious inclinations to give up. But, I just wanted to play Final Fantasy and this kept me consistent. Soon I developed interest and completed the series.

Which year was that you played FF2 and the game had broken system? I think any issues have been solved and updates made. So I doubt those who play level 2 now will have same experience or issues like those who played earlier. Am I right?

I never played it myself because I heard the exact same thing that was said in this topic, the soundtrack was the only thing that was nice. I honestly never even got the urge to play Final Fantasy II because I knew the mechanics would feel old and it would just drive me crazy. Maybe when it first came out it was great, but nowadays I don't know..

I heard about the upcoming updates of FF2, but never looked towards them. I had tried my hands on the initial version, so I preferred to try the next game of the series. This again proved wrong because I tried to play the third part on my tablet.

I must admit that there was a time when I felt a bit disinterested towards FF games. But, positive reviews from family and friends redeveloped my interest. I enjoyed playing rest of the games of the series.

Graphics is not bad to be honest. You can see that it were the earlier releases. It was expected to be like that. Though you get bored with the old graphics. And it works lot better that way. I say that music and the game play experience are worth having for anyone new to this entire series.

I don't know how to explain, but I sometimes remember of the soundtrack and access youtube to hear. About gameplay, it is horrible to play this game after to have played the recent FFs. FF2 is an archaic game compared with Final Fantasy VII and others.

I did play it last week and I did not enjoy it that much. Maybe I am used to the other FF that is why.

@wallet I have reasons to believe that it's because it's the early stages of the game software production that made Final Fantasy II to have such glitches. They were certainly trying to put things together at the time.

You would see that after the FF II backslide, with the invention of new versions, it would be clear that they had the good vision of making the best for our satisfaction.

I hope I will have a better experience with FF2 when I finally get my hands on PS.

You are right. Even the producers must have noticed it because the other versions after FF2 are very okay and no one has complained.

You mean the modern one or the tactical one? I guess modern one seems to be good enough for the graphics and gameplay factor. I think any game after FF7 onwards is good enough for the play.

@Mildredtabitha Truth be told, Final Fantasy 12 is a perfect complete version of the game, the producers to innate time to cover all grounds in developing the software which is why the graphics and single mode combat in it is very appealing and interesting.

In in personal opinion, if anyone have a different say about the quality of Final Fantasy 12, then maybe such individual should develop his or her own game and let us take a spin with it and decide which one is a lot better ;).
