Final Fantasy 7 remake is not going to be a full game

It is going to be an episodic game that will explore portions of the story. So if the first volume flops we won't have a full pledge remake. So many old school fans who had been requesting this game for almost 20 years. I think at this moment, The modded version of Final Fantasy 7 is the closest thing we will have to an actual remake. Many portions of the story are said to be removed because they wont fit with the current values and culture of people these days. Final Fantasy 7 remake will be divided into parts with the first part being released on 2020. Let's hope this remake will deliver on sales so it won't be like the tragic Final Fantasy 15.

It is episodic so I hope each episode will sell very very well because knowing Square Enix, Selling well it's not enough. Most of us waited for this game all our lives. I hope that this also leads to more remakes but it wont happen if this game will succeed.

I wonder how many hours each episode is going to be. The average episodic games are 5 hours per episode but actually 1 hour only for speedrunners. I hope in case of this game its 10 hours due to the need of grinding.

They are basically pressuring us to buy every single episode. It is their marketing strategy to make more money. It will make fans afraid of waiting for a complete edition and buy episodes on release because low sales could lead to cancellation. Fans waited for this all their life so they will be spending a lot of their hard earn cash for every single chapter.

I hope that all episodes will be released in one year. I don't want it to be something that will take half a decade. This is a remake this game should be easier to do since they have a source material to work for and they are not working from scratch.

I have heard that the Final Fantasy 7 remake is going to be a huge game - and they say that every episode or game in this series will be comparable to a full Final Fantasy game. I'm not sure how many games wIll make this Final Fantasy 7 remake up.

It is possibly longer than the original too that's why episodic. Some characters from the original with very short roles where said to be expanded. I am not gonna mention names to prevent spoilers for people who never played the original. I think they have the confidence to make the game episodic because this game aint going to flop. Final Fantasy VII is such an iconic and timeless game and there is no way Square Enix will screw it up for the fans. Making it Episodic will also make the impact of the death of certain characters much more bigger.

Just my Theory, Episode one will only have 4 playable characters. It will be Cloud, Tifa, Aerith and Barrett. They are the only ones who are on the trailer. Characters like Vincent, Yuffie and Sid will be available later. Jessie who is not playable in the original might be either playable or a guest team mate. The default Party members will be Cloud and his 2 lady loves. I wonder how many hours each episode will be. Making the game episodic will make it more fun for the completionist players since they can search for the nooks and crannies of every chapter.

I think it's a great idea but they have to make sure the first episode will sell so the game wont get cancelled. They have to work hard to make the first episode leave a great first impression. There will be those fans who will wait for all episodes to be released first so they have to attract casuals to play the first chapter.

Are we going to have endings beyond the ending of the original? Imagine if they added advent children as a chapter.
