FFVII remake might not be for this console generation

We are now in the last 2 years of ps4. It will be foolish for Square to launch a game on a console that is about to be obsolete. Also Resident evil 2 remake is going to get all that hype. Competing with another remake even if it's from another gaming genre will be risky. Also Square Enix is currently facing some problems delaying the progress of this dream game. They want to make sure 7 remake is a success so more remakes will come. They are facing a lot of pressure right now. I expect VII to be a game launched for ps5 since its better to launch a game on a new console because competition is scarce as things are new.

That kinda makes sense, Ps4 is on its last legs and the competition is stiff. While being a launching title for Ps5 means more sales because it is an early release.

I had been waiting for this remake since PS3 but they kept delaying. I hope all that wait will be worth it. Just imagine scenes like the attacks of Sepiroth in HD. Imagine how tear jerking it will be to see Aerith's death with voice acting and modern day cinematography.

This is the timeline I can see:

FF 1 to 3, most likely nintendo switch for its predecessor.

FF7- Ps5
FF6-Ps5
FF8 =Ps6

Square is really slow when it comes to remaking.

They promised this to be a ps4 game. Yes Ps4 is about to end but they can make a remastered version later for Ps5. I still believe we will get this game for ps4 once the hype of KH3 will sizzle down because it is the top priority at this moment.
