Hi. What was the first Final Fantasy released on the playstation format?

Based on Wikipedia's timeline, Final Fantasy IV was the first Final Fantasy game that was released on PlayStation. It was released in 1997. Final Fantasy 1 and 2 are later ported to PlayStation in 2002.

Though when I was a kid, I thought Final Fantasy 1 and 2 were the first to be released on PSX. They ported versions were the first Final Fantasy game copies that I had. It makes sense to me back then because they were numbered FF 1 and 2 and I thought it was released in order on PSX.

Me too. I played them on PS and thought that was the only place I could play them. Am so glad now I can stream them or play via the PC.

I never played Final Fantasy games on Playstation 1 or 2. My first PS console was PS3 before I later upgraded to PS4. The gaming experience is exactly different from that of PS1 or PS2.

Heatman, it is okay really. We also didn't own a Playstation then, I played at a friends house. Till we managed to save up and buy one as a family.

It's the same story with me, as I never owned PS1 or PS2 but I sure did played at my friend's place when I was still in college although we never played Final Fantasy games on it because we weren't aware of the game back then.

My friends happened to be well of. Back then they would even take vacations to Israel and far off countries. I don't know where they bought them, but they surely had plenty of games back then!.
