In playing games especially Final Fantasy, lots of people have a certain things that they observe, engage and mixed up with playing the game. And one of such things is listening to music either with headset or open speakers playing.

Now, personally I happen to be among the category of people who always make do with music while playing Final Fantasy games, and my favorite songs happens to hip hop songs. The energy with the songs serves as an added adrenaline pumper in getting me ever active in playing. Sometimes, I use the beat of the song as my attack mode pattern in the game :D.

My favorite genre of music is Rock. This is what I mostly listen to when doing everything including relaxing. Especially when playing games. Xfm radio station is always on and it always plays rock songs 24 hours. I have played FF a new empire but only on trial. :D

The background music of the Final Fantasy games is sufficient to keep the gamers engrossed. Personally, I do not like any other noise while I play the game. I keep the game music on and then get engrossed in my game play.

Presence of music in any video game is one of the things that makes the game lively. I most love the ' Blinded by light' melody of FF XIII. I like that it started with the traditional classical orchestra with horns, then followed by the guitar and ended with the base. I really love the way the sounds come out.

Mmh @Mildredtabitha I wish I could be able to listen to radio station as well, somehow there music bores me, probably because of their mixture of several kinds of music over a long period of time. I have listened to Rock music once or twice, it sounds great although I haven't made a habit of consistently listen to it. Hip hop is way much better for me .

Sometimes I happen to rely on the background of the game music when I desire to be into the game alone but when I feel like combining my real world into and with playing the game, then I involve my hip hop gangster music. It rocks my world in the playing of the game, just like kicking ass in real life of a gangster.

My sound system is always off and I guess that is why I never heard any background music for the FF I tried. But I doubt if they can beat my favorite rock songs. :)

But my local station does not play a mixture of music and that is why Xfm 105.5 is my favorite. It only plays rock music. :D My brother loves hip hop.

I only listen to the in game OST. I can't imagine blasting some heavy metal while playing the game, it would ruin the immersion. The only game where I actually listen to "real life" music is GTA, which uses real music anyway.

@Mildredtabitha Lucky you that in your locality there are radio station that plays a particular kind of music (rock music) it's not the same here. So enjoy it while it lasts and play your games together with Final Fantasy having extra fun with your rock music.

@mbuzma GTA is actually a nice one, I have played it several times with my PS 3 console and it's very interesting. It's not necessary a must that you would be blasting the hip hop songs while playing Final Fantasy games and listening to it. Most times, it's the beat that your looking out for.

I am into EDM music. And trance and ambient music is my favorite. I don't like much noisy music so most of the pop is out of my league. And so mostly listen to trance and techno sound. It's good for my focus.

I must admit that you always get deeply engrossed in the games. Whether it is taking out your vengeance or fighting against a gangster, who face everything like a real life hero.

@amitkokiladitya When you get addicted to something, that's always how it normally work but to be able to channel that addiction to getting positive results from engaging in such thing is what matters most.

Take for instance, some people would just be addicted to playing Final Fantasy games and other games just for fun or whiling away their precious time, but being able to find a way to use it get off some steam of anger and frustration instead of dishing it out on who doesn't deserve it is a nice way to manage ones addiction to the game.

Yes, I definitely HAVE to. There is no way I will do any gaming or anything creative to start with without any kind of a noise in the background.
I usually use my headpiece because the music I listen is either too epic for the people around me or even too disturbing.
My personal taste includes industrial, darkcore, numetal, epic gothic rock and similar.
I usually find a remix on the YouTube of 1 hour or 2 hours each, or I made my own personal playlist and just roll it.

It is only on rare occasions that I listen to music when playing FF. Sometimes the game soundtrack is enough to keep me entertained. FF is one of the few games that do not require background music to be fabulous. The music is a very small part of the thrill and without it, not much changes.

Every time I play even other games I usually play PopRock songs. With its beat the game seems more exciting. When fighting I combined it with headbanging moves. It adds adrenaline and fun. After winning I sing the chorus part loud!

For sure I listen music when I'm gaming. Usually FF soundtrack is more than enough, but sometimes I just don't feel like into it, so that's when I connect to my Pandora station, or maybe my stock of rock tracks. Never every play FF with a slow, romantic song, I don't feel is going with the mood of the game.

That's totally me when playing games like GTA, FF, and some of the time games like dead island. It's just that games such as this are fun. And worth winning too. So I guess this is common among many.

That's my thing I always like listening to low volume music while I play games. It wasn't too long I got used to this kind of a combination, before I use to get a little distracted. One thing I find out music while playing games can help in thinking fast.

When playin FF i normally listen to no copyright sounds on youtube, it is a combination of trap, dubstep and house music, their music lightens up my mood and help me concentrate better when am playing FF games

The only time I listen to other music while playing FF is when it's the MMO or a repeat playthrough...but regular games for the first time? I honestly listen to the in game music because it's nice enough as it is and lends to the storyline better. To completely bypass the original soundtrack for a first playthrough imo just takes away from the experience.
