When I was young I used to play a lot of arcade games such as the mortal kombat, street fighter to name a few. I find them really great especially if I feel bored during the day. It is one of my favorite ice breaker for me to avoid being sleepy.

Who doesn't like arcade games right? :D, for me it's the best thing for you to go, experience and play after the class or you can actually not go to school and go straight to arcade shop as well. But for real though, arcade games are probably my medicine in terms of being sick or having a problems at school.

I love some of the arcade games. I also used to enjoy the feel of adding the coin. And then resuming the game. I think on that note arcade games are fun. And something worth enjoying for sure. I guess a lot of arcade games are no longer fashion. So it's something not people play anymore. So you are left with the emulators.

If you haven't gone to arcades at least once in your life, I don't think you've had the best of childhoods. Classic arcade games like mario, sonic, donkey kong, and even time crisis have stayed with me through the years. I'm in my third year of college and I still go out to arcade with my friends at least once a month, just to see which of us could finally beat the high score. The arcade along with it's games is the place I went too before because I had no money to buy me a console but had enough money to go adventure land and play jurassic island to fight dinosaurs as a 10 year old.

I love playing arcade games till date, it started with my love for Contra then they brought the street fighter arcade which was summed up with Assassins creed with it getting much more better yearly, arcade games triggers nostalgic feeling which reminds me of my childhood experience. I never heard of any one who gets bored playing arcade games.

Arcade games are one of the most exciting and amazing games that I had ever played in my childhood time. I've got a lot of arcade games before that I've played for how many hours in a single day. It is a perfect stress reliever if you feel bored and tired of making your job a perfect one.

I wish those old arcade days come back. These days surely things have lot different. But we can see that some of the time such arcade games are worth checking out. And they are kind of nostalgic to play on those machines.

I remember those arcade games from the 70s and early 80s-and they had some good ones, but I remember Pac-Man, Frogger and Pong a lot from that time era. I enjoyed these simple arcade games a lot, along with playing a lot of Pinball as well-I have some very good memories from my childhood from these wonderful times.

I like Mortal Combat, though, due to my age, I never really played it much on an arcade - but rather a console. Anyway, though, it always amazes me how many quarters those things got from kids. In fact, on the comedy Wayne's World, the pompous jerk arcade CEO (Noah Vanderhoff) brags about the same - and the fact he's ripping them off. (making certain levels totally unbeatable)

Ah, arcade games, those bring me back memories, especially Pacman, as that was my favorite one for a long, long time. I loved Tetris too! :D

Mmm, Mortal Combat and Mortal Kombat? I might be missing something here? :)

Thing was, there was no other way to play real games, as computers and consoles didn't exist, so people just rushed to the arcade houses. :)

20 year back we had those machines. And now those machines are not there any more. And the arcade is kind of memory now. So on that note. I'd say that I wish to experience that once more.

I cannot forget that game mortal combat, that took more 1000 hours of my childhood days. What is 1000 hours, it's even more than that. I enjoy playing it so much back them but I don't give in to it anymore, I have better games to play.

I think what we have now is better than the good old days ones. Even though I would agree that those old arcade games were awesome but we couldn't stick around dealing with such old days games. We have state of the art games now, let's focus on them. What do you think?

Mortal combat was pretty good. Thing is, we didn't have anything else to play, so everything looked awesome. At the same time, looking today at those old games, come on, we can't even compare them to the existing ones today!!

I think arcade game fad has settled and dusted too. But the demand for the games will continue as long as the generation that played the arcade game is still alive. I am sure many of you know it was a good time. I'd surely enjoy it even today.

Exactly, back then those games were everything. Nothing can compare to the satisfaction it gave us players back then. But all that have been knocked down below pecking order with the kind of games we have today. Although I still see some little kids play Contra and Mortal Kombat, it's still pleasing to them but it's now a no no for me.

These days it's much harder to find and create something new. Back in the days we had nothing, so these days a game to impress has to do a lot, pretty much like FF does. :)

There were times I stayed awake all night playing, mortal kombat with my junior brother, our parents have walked in on us several while playing and they became worried at times that we aren't sleeping well enough because of the game. We practically stay awake every consecutive night to play and never got tired. We were stopped from playing in the night when the console was seized up once it's 8:00 pm.
