Final Fantasy has bosses like any other Final Fantasy. Who is the first boss you challenge?

I will have to go with Dark Elf just because it doesn't have any weaknesses unlike some of the other bosses in Final Fantasy IV. Lightning is Octomamm's weakness, fire is Milon's weakness and if you want to destroy Dark Dragon Just have Tellah cast Weak on it, have your next character attack and he's down.

The battle is actually simple though the Dark Elf has some considerable amount of HP, so one should be patient as it may take many rounds to subdue him.

Proto Babel is my favorite boss in FFIV. It has like 750,000 HP and is much stronger than Iron Giant from FFIII. During that time, it might be the video game boss of the year.

Yeah I have some memories of getting pretty frustrated with the Dark Elf just about how long it took. In the end though those are always better, looking back at least, but at the time pretty irritating.
