Was anyone alive during Atari's day? Myself, I was a child and when I became a preteen was when Atari totally faded out in favor of Nintendo and Sega. Anyway, my favorite Atari games were Pitfall Harry (a Mario-like strategy one) and Pole Position (a racing one).

Yes, I remember these Atari games as arcade games mostly, but they also could be played on a console. Some good ones that I remember are Pong which came out in 1972 I think, also Asteroids,Pac-Man,and Space Invaders as well. These games were pretty big when I was a kid back in the 70s-take a look at this commercial for Space Invaders, circa 1980.

Oddly enough, some Atari games were fun. However, some had to be boring - even when nobody knew of better options. But I'm wondering how fun the sports games were. They might have been actually fun - despite the bad graphics.
