It's coming to PC in early 2018. Screenshots on Steam look stunning so far, but unfortunately it seems to be using some Nvidia Gameworks features so that likely means bad performance for us using AMD GPUs.
Besides the upgraded graphics, do you expect anything else from this release ?
It's been a long time after all and some PC exclusive content would be nice.

From what has been publicized it definitely looks promising, hope it delivers well.

It'd be interesting to see PC ports of various console only releases. I mean many PC users made use of the emulators in past. And that was not a good performance. But yes,it'd be good if the game gets remastered with the PC ports. That would be really fun to play them.

Well, we are getting more ports than we did, say, a decade ago, but some games are simply going to remain exclusive for some consoles no matter what. Honestly it would probably be better if the games were built from the ground up for the pc. Far less potential issues that way and usually better optimization.

The graphics are amazing in PS4, but on the PC will be better. About Nvidia Gameworks, this resource will improve, obviously, Nvidia game cards, however if you have a AMD GPU of high performance, you will not suffer with this problem.

It's no doubt that graphics are far better on PC than consoles since the former has far better components.

But it's relatively more expensive which is why people buy consoles.

Buying or building a PC is more expensive, but games can be found cheaper far more easily so it evens out.

I'm not sure that it evens out since you have to always upgrade your components.

I have high expectations, but I will keep my fingers crossed until I personally confront the new version . I'm really excited about playing with the improved graphics and the fact that now it is on PC will help me to deliver better control over my moves and action.

I think PC ports will surely help reduce the need for the emulators. As you can see the amount of ports for FF through simulators are more. And if the PC port comes in. There is no need for the compliance in that case.

FF-XV PC port will be of great benefit. It will have a complete controller support other than mouse/keyboard.It will also have an inbuilt download/upload button to help the use perform the two functions.

Depends on which components you buy. Buy powerful ones and they can almost last you an entire console generation.

Of course. But if a port is worse than the original console version, which can and did happen, people are still going to try to emulate. However emulator programs are getting harder and harder to make as the console architecture and hardware gets more complex.

Yes PS 3 onwards it's harder to port. The reason being those games were hardware locked. And so porting becomes harder. Here the original developers themselves have to leak in few patches. That seems to be the way for solving this issue. I have seen that happen in DOSBox community.

Was talking about emulators, not ports. Anyway, yes the PS3 games were hard to port so pretty much all developers opted to port the games from XBOX 360 as that console was much more similar to an average PC.

I do not know all that much about console architecture like some others but I am always excited for anything that can increase the gameplay. I will be keeping my eyes open.

Definitely! I am extremely excited for it, and the pictures on Steam look astonishing! It kind of sucks about the Nvidia thing because my computer isn't the best, so it will most likely cause performance loss.

I haven't tried playing FF on my PC yet. But I am excited for any upgrades that will be done especially the PC port. It will give first users and old users a new experience while playing FF 15. :D

You are not alone. :D
