It is a fighting game in the 90's set in the final fantasy VII Universe. I remember Cloud Strife and Tifa are playable on this game.

Those are game plays of that spin off. I hope reimagining of that game will be a DLC of the upcoming Final Fantasy VII remake.

I am kind of sad that Energeiz characters are not on Dissidia.

I played this game. Though I'm really confused why do they make such a game like this. I can't see the point and I feel like it is a boring game. I got to play this because I saw that it was SquareSoft. And when I played it, I find this game boring. Sorry :p

I'm going to be honest, I've never even heard of this. Though even if I did, it is unlikely that I would have played it. The only fighting games I have played are Tekken 3 and Urban Reign later on the PS2.

They made this because Final Fantasy 7 is the biggest square soft game during those times and during the 90's fighting games are big. Actually fighting games are still big. Tournaments of Street Fighter V are now aired on TV.

Energheiz did well during those times but it Is forgotten now.

I think the game-Ehrgeiz: God Bless the Ring was released for arcades first(1998) and later it came out on PlayStation. A lot of the characters are from the Final Fantasy VII game-and when they turn red their power increases. The players that are available right away are Cloud,Tifa, and Sephiroth and then you unlock the rest of the characters. It does look like a fun arcade game though.

I really want characters of this game in dissidia. If final fantasy 7 remake will have a sequel, I want Yoko to be a Party member option. She fights with a freaking Yoyo!

My memories are very very fuzzy but I do remember bits and pieces from it, but I think mostly it was just seeing it a couple of times. Makes me want to give it a try again though and see about some nostalgia I can drum up.

Oh! yeah, I remember this, it was a pretty fun fighting game back when I was a kid. It kept me pinned to the screen most of the time.

I played this game too! I remember it also has an RPG game included. I don’t remember what it’s called now and I didn’t finish it because I feel that it is too grindy. Although I had a great time with that game too. :D

Unfortunately, by the time Ehrgeiz was officially released in the arcades, much of the graphics, gameplay, and control mechanics did not live up to expectations of many gamers.

I remember Ehergeiz from when I was a kid. I didn't play it much back then but I can say it was ahead of it's time.

Oh. That's sad. I hope I got to play and see the arcade version for myself. The PSX version was addictive too.

I don't remember playing this. In fact I have no idea if energeiz and before crisis were released internationally at all. I may have to check out on the PC port of the game in that case.

It was a pretty long time ago when this game came out, I don't think if you decide to play it now you will really enjoy it.

Do you mean Ehrgeiz? Same here. It's ancient, and the quality is too low overall. It is more like Tobal. In my honest opinion, it's pretty much crap compared to other fighting games. Play it if you have way too much time in your hands haha!

I have an idea, make Energeiz a mini game for 7. Winning the tournament can win you experience, Items and GP. Energheiz can have different tournaments from every town. Maybe we can even win competitors as party members or summons. I like Yoko's fighting style. She can be an additional party member, guest or a summon.
