Magic is one of the fundamental gameplay elements within the Final Fantasy franchise, but its application has varied in quite significant ways from game to game.

It all started with two simple schools, Black Magic and White Magic, but as the franchise evolved, numerous other schools were included and by the end of the main numbered series there have been 21 different magic schools.

How magic can be used and learnt has also seen a lot of change and throughout this video we're going to delve into the depths to highlight how mechanics have evolved over time!
