Final Fantasy IX: Rose of May - Piano & Heavy Metal cover (collaboration with Ferdk)

This is „Rose of May“ from Final Fantasy IX, composed by Nobuo Uematsu. The piano part was arranged and performed by myself, and the Heavy Metal part was arranged and performed by Ferdk:

This one is special. Back in 2011, we talked to each other about making a collaboration. He recorded his part and sent it to me. Then, as you know, my situation got worse over time, and then I would repeatedly postpone my part, until I stopped uploading altogether in the end of 2011. I explained everything to him and se said that we'll just finish this as soon as I am ready. So I recently got back in touch with him, and to my surprise he still had the project and audio files, and he did not finish this project by himself or with someone else over the years. Unfortunately, his video recordings were lost to an old hard drive, which is why you don't see him play in this video. But with his audio, we were now able to finally conclude the project as such, and I am very happy about this.

Over the years, I would frequently pull out the files he sent me and listen to them, and I looked forward to completing this some day. Making this track was an interesting journey for me, because today I arranged my piano part very differently from how I would have arranged it seven years ago. I respect him a lot for waiting for me all these years and for taking the time to finish this now, so I ask you to please support him every way you can.
